American Red Cross - What a scare!
I received a notification on my cell phone that I had missed a call from "Disaster Information" -180*-733-****. As I was working at the moment, I couldn't answer the call.
When I could, I checked my phone and had no messages. About 15 minutes after the call, I got a text from ARC just reminding me about my blood donation appointment tomorrow morning. Geez! With the state of the World these days, I thought it we were under attack, or something!
Really ticked me off that they have to make an appointment reminder sound like a bomb warning.
A simple text reminder would have been sufficient. I have a feeling there will be a voicemail on my home phone tonight, too.
Reason of review: misleading call/message.
Preferred solution: a simple text would have been enough/ no phone call alert.
American Red Cross Pros: Convenience.
American Red Cross Cons: Being harrassed to donate, Scarey or misleading message or calls.
