American Red Cross - Terrible experience
I had an apt at a 6 pm location to donate blood. I showed up at 545 pm to check in.
I showed the person behind the desk my rapid pass sheet, and was told to sit down and wait to be called. after an hour, and noticing friends of the staff working there jumping in front of myself, I checked the list of names and found that all people on the list had been seen except for myself. I inquired about the list, and was told I must have been skipped. I was then told that I was to donate power red, in which I explained that was not possible due to time constraints on my part.
The staff told me either I donate power red, or get out. so I left. the most unprofessional workers, and staff I ever saw at a blood drive. the beds had no paper sheets, and were not wiped down after each use by donors.
I talked a first time donor into giving, in which this person ended up not giving due to the blood taker, bruising her arm so badly, that she couldn't take it anymore.
so sad that this had to happen. wake up red cross and supervise your blood drives properly!!
