Sat in hall for an hour before anyone came out the door to say....Next. There was a sign in sheet with no one sitting at desk., 3 other pple came to give blood while waiting and I had a guest with me.

There wasnโ€™t even enough chairs for people to sit. We sat on the floor in hallway of hospital. I had made an app on the blood donar app and was a couple of hours late due to running over at dr app. 45 mins away.

Was also caught in traffic but went in to ask if I should go ahead and change my app time online because there was a couple of open appointments for later in the day and I was discouraged against that and was asked to come back the following day between 10 and 3. I Told them I donโ€™t know if I can make it and he said ok., thanks....Very unfriendly and unprofessional service. This is All while they have an emergency blood shortage. This is the worst blood drive Iโ€™ve ever been to.

I was Just with a friend in Virginia Beach a week ago and he gave blood. What a different experience. Friendly staff offering you juice, water and snacks, or a bowl of homemade soup. There were 6 people working at the blood drive that I recall and every single person was accommodating and friendly.

I have given blood in Belmont Ohio at the college and in Cadiz Ohio. Every single time it was a very pleasant experience...Not in wheeling wv however. They are put out by the fact that you want to give blood at 5:30pm. I had a lot of unexpected delays today and was tired and hot, it was extremely humid and I still decided to go and was willing to reschedule for a later app...I wonโ€™t do that again.

Someone could die. Someone needs blood every 2 seconds in the United States?? They should never turn a Donar away like that. By the way, they had one bed, taking one person at a time and some where giving power red.

I saw it on the sign in sheet which was lying there for the whole world to see. 2 stacks of stickers with rubber bands around them that said...I make a difference, I gave blood. I saw a guy in the elevator who just gave blood. He had the red band wrapped around his arm.

No sticker on him and I saw absolutely no refreshments when I finally got to go in the room to ask about changing my appointment...I will never give blood in this state. It was an Ignorant experience. People simply do not care about other people around here....I left the blood drive feeling disgusted toward human beings and their apathy. Itโ€™s so sad.

People are lazy and selfish in this city. The further you get away from this area, the friendlier people Become. I just donโ€™t understand people. I realize I was late but we are talking about someoneโ€™s life here.

Possibly a child, and it was their attitude about it all that made the difference. If they just had a different attitude, maybe I would want to go back the next day.

But, right now, I will NEVER give blood in this city. OHio Valley Medical Center
