I contacted the American Red Cross during hurricane Harvey to help evacuate my elderly, medical conditioned parents out of Rockport, Tx. The Red Cross representative assured me they would assist my parents in evacuating, took my name and number so they could contact me to let me know they had evacuated my parents.
I waited all night for a call.
Nothing! I called my parents on their land line the next morning, my Dad had to call 911 to have an ambulance take my mother, who also happens to be in a wheel chair, to the hospital in Corpus Christi because she was having problems breathing.
