American Red Cross - Terrible

from Paul Galvin: was scheduled today, 12/14, to give blood at 11:45. when I arrived to check in, no one at desk and no one around. Two people sitting said they had 11:30 appts. Some one finally came out and I told her I had already filled out my quick appt. and was scheduled for 11:45. She said they were running a little behind. Waited until 12:15, went up to the desk and again waited. When some finally came out I cancelled my appt. Red Cross is constantly begging for blood donations but if this is the way the treat donars, I'm not surprised they want more people to donate since I'm sure I'm not the only one that is experiencing this kind of treatment. This is totally unacceptable. I have O type blood so I know this is universal and more needed.

American Red Cross - Terrible non profit organization

They don’t care about you as a donor. It’s all fake. They only care about how much money each unit of blood will bring in. They try to talk you into donating double cells. This brings in more money. They treat there employees terribly. They hire anyone to become phlebotomists. It’s not nurses, or medically qualified. Not even certified. They only care about themselves. They are unprofessional and unorganized. Please find a better blood center to donate to.

American Red Cross - Quit contacting me

I would have donated blood again by now if it wasn’t for them calling me every day 5 times a day. Also I have been receiving 3 emails a day, no joke! I love donating, but I don’t love being harassed. Chill Red Cross, and let us come to you.
