Sorry to hear you have not "air" in your building but the world wonders exactly how you are able to type this complaint while comatose with no air. Most, if not all landlords do not provide their clientele with air---it is all around us and costs nothing.

You donation cont seems wrong

You just sent me a notice of my 275th donation which is wrong. i have checked with you in the past and I have done 157 Platelet donations and you get 3 doses per donation so you have taken 471 doses , not the 475 units you said in your e-mail. My donor id is 1EOCGUZ Please get back to me with the correct updated information. I told myself I will buy myself a nice dinner when I hit 500 doses of donations. Pints of blood

Okay my complaint is why don't you add pints of blood to the pints I have given to red cross from an other blood donation facility . I just got an e-mail saying I have reached a milestone of 6 gal. Well I will have you know with what I have donated to red cross and the other facility I have donated 18 GALLONS . So it would be nice to honored for that . So give that a thought . you can contact Karen Boop at Wahoo Ne. she has my total amount I have donated because 5 years ago when I moved here I told her about it and she said you guy's did not add from other facility's. Well in my opinion that is a bunch of crap and yes I am a little pissed off about that

Unpleasant First Donation Experience

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
A blood drive was taking place at my school, and I was pressured into doing my first donation. I am EXTREMELY phobic of blood and needles, so it took a lot for me to get to the point of actually donating. The lady who worked with me was rude and passive aggressive when I mentioned any concerns. She also unsuccessfully moved the needle around in my arm for minutes before hitting a vein. Sideways. To say the least, I did not bleed a full unit. The lady had the nerve to tell me my donation was useless. Not sure if I will try to donate again.

I have been treated roughly and coldly at our Convention Center plaza in Bowling Green Ky -- and it was about 2 years before I donated again. And I will never donate at the Sloan/ Holiday Inn Convention Center here again.

I donated finally, recently at Natcher Scholl here in Bowling Green KY. They were very nice. This was my 40th blood donation in my life. I also have the blood without the virus that is not good for babies.

Not many in US donations are free of a marker for this harmless virus to adults but risky to children. I am also 0 positive. So you can see - you need my blood and others like me. Nashville help with Red Cross have a lofty attitude.

Same thing happened to me at the end of May. When I called the number, they didn't even ask who they were speaking to.

Didn't care. After 9 days, my arm is still horribly bruised and my donation was also thrown out because air got in it.

I was told it was my fault for not drinking enough water, etc. After 17 years, I'm done.

Donating blood

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
American Red Cross - Donating blood

I was going to donate my blood for the second time with a blood drive event in Binghamton University today (10/8/2018). Even though I had an appointment I waited for one and half hours.

Then, I complaint about my situation and they acted like nothing happened. When finally my turn came, they asked a bunch of questions to verify my name, age, address etc. which was totally fine. Then, I showed my RapidPass barcode on my phone via Red Cross app that showed that I already finished all questionnaires.

They did not accept my barcode because there was no last name on the screen! Is it my problem? I showed all my information registered in the app, but because the app only shows my name alongside the barcode, they said they did not know whether this was me!

You must inform your employees about how the app works. You guys are asking my blood in return giving some gift cards and money.

I wanted to donate my blood freely, and this is how you treat.

Shame on you. Because of you, people who will need blood, will not receive it.

Once upon a long time ago, giving blood was a pleasant experience. Those days are long gone. Make an appointment? 40 minutes later, here I still sit. Rapid Pass? Only if someone actually scans it. What a joke. And don’t try to ask, complain, clarify their procedures. Donors are treated as dispensable nuisances. After 5 gallons donated, never again! Blocking all their obnoxious calls and emails. Worst treatment of donors and volunteers ever!

Disaster Dats Responder

American Red Cross - Disaster Dats Responder

Been working for two years as a responder. Well we had problems on the team with certain members.

Me and another responder filed numerous complaints but nothing never was done. So when we had our meeting we addressed the problems because I voices my opinion about the disaster manger Rebecca Pittman accused me of making a personal threat. Because it was you g to make her look bad In her job she brought up lies that won't true causes me to have to step down as a volunteer . I have been trying to get a hearing on this because there were three people that was there said they never heard any threats.

Because it was going to disclose things that was going on it would make her look bad. So I would not recommend working on the mountain region with here because if you say anything wrong it will come back home to you. The comment I made was I could not respect here for decisions she makes so she makes into a Personal threat. There are things going on if the public ever found out about deployment money it being abused they would never donate anymore money.

Me as a volunteer was punshished by a another Red Cross employee in the same district without a fair hearing. If anybody was threatened it was me by the email she sent me telling me to stay away from the fire department and the health department.

And I'm a fireman for over 20 years and work calls with this department. So who threatened who

Superficial phlebitis caused by unsuccessful blood draw

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

My 17 year old tried to donate at her high school on Tuesday, January 22, 2019. Today, four days later, I am ticked that we just spent four hours with doctors and radiologists.

My daughter was treated rudely by the incompetent staff. 1st arm was unsuccessful. A different employee tried the second arm, she jabbed and dug then told her she wasn’t a good candidate for blood donation. This is completely untrue.

We have never had a problem with her veins before. Pain from the second location spread down her vein. This morning, the pain had spread all the way down to her wrist. No fever, but lots of pain at the now enlarged vein.

Strangely, no bruising. All the trauma was done on the inside. Doctor sent us to ER to get ultrasound. Diagnosis was superficial phlebitis.

Ibuprofen and heat is recommended. I am done supporting the incompetence of the Red Cross.

It’s not worth my health or the health of my family. I’m done.

They treat fire victims like we are beneath them.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I am a fire survivor of the Camp Fire in Paradise. My wife Laura and I went to the Butte Co.

Fairgrounds Evac ctr. the day after the fire and registered. We went to try and have dinner tonight 11/25/2018, and we were taken out of line because I didn't have the stupid wrist band on anymore. The fat little guy was rude and said we were not supposed to be in there without a wristband.

I told him that I did have one but when I got it on the 9th, you only needed the wristband to sleep there. So we waited 20 minutes for them to look up the registration form that they couldn't find. They found us on the sign in sheet where we checked in on the ninth though. Laura was getting frustrated because her oxygen tank only lasts so long.

So we finally said forget it and left.

If this is how you are going to treat fire survivors, maybe you should let someone else do it. And after my sister donated $1000 in MY honor.
